October: Chesapeake Beach, Chesapeake Bay Fishing Report. Bluefish seem to be everywhere in the Chesapeake Bay right now. Trolling has been the most productive method ,with hoses being the lure of choice for bluefish in the 3-6lb range. Striped bass are still around although the recent weather has made the bite a bit sporadic. The next few cold fronts should send the bass into feeding mode. The large ocean run striped bass will begin their migration south for warmer water in the coming weeks and will only be a matter of time before we see them in our area of the Chesapeake Bay. Expect the big boys around the end of Oct thru the end of Dec. Dates are available for the fall so give me a call. (410) 610-6283
